Every player shall pay entry fees. Entries are accepted in order of earliest postmark or online entry. Incomplete and early-postmarked entries will be placed at the end of the entry list. All checks must be accompanied by an entry form or it will be considered an incomplete entry. If any event is oversubscribed, the entrant(s) will be advised of her/their position on the wait list. Entrant(s) will be notified if a position in the event become available. Entries are limited to a maximum number of players depending on the course being played.
Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if SDCWGA is notified before the date of the close of entries. For credit card refunds PRIOR to close of entries, a 3% credit card processing fee will be deducted. On or after the date of close of entries, entry fee may be refunded in the event of injury, serious illness or family emergence if requested in writing within seven (7) days after the date of the tournament and provided the notice of inability to play in the event is received by the Event Director prior to play of the event. All cost per application expended or budgeted by SDCWGA and a $10.00 service charge will be deducted from all refunds, not to exceed entry fees.
Any player substitution must be approved by the Director in Charge of the event 72 hours in advance of the competition. Any players not meeting this deadline may play in 2 or 4 person events, but their scores may not be considered for the competition. Exceptions will be addressed by the tournament committee in the case of any emergency.
SDCWGA CHAMPIONSHIP - The field is limited to 128 players. LOW GROSS over the field from the Championship Tees will be the County Champion.
FOUR-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP - This is a better ball of partner. The field is limited to 128 players. A maximum difference of 8 strokes is required between partners. If there is more than an 8 stroke difference, the player with the higher handicap with be reduced to meet the 8 stroke differential. LOW NET team will be the Four-Ball Champions.
County Classic - A partner event with multi-format play, i.e. Scramble, Four-Ball and Alternate Shot. The field is limited to 64 teams.
Roam from Home - An individual event usually held in the Palm Desert area each May. Field is limited to 128 players.
Memorial Tournament - A four person event. This is our annual fundraiser for Cancer. Field is limited to 128 players.
Field days are varied format competitions scheduled through the year at selected San Diego County or nearby courses.
